A MOTORBIKE stolen from its owner just a week after he bought it has been recovered by police.

Simon Corless thought he would never see his Honda CB 650F again after it was stolen outside his business last month.

The 46-year-old said the bike, worth around £4,500, was taken outside Pulse Digital Office Solutions in Cloughfold, only an hour and 15 minutes after he had left it there.

However Greater Manchester Police discovered the bike in Farnworth 10 days after the Lancashire Telegraph broke the original story.

More than 69,000 people had shared Mr Corless’s appeal on Facebook and Twitter in a bid to find the bike again.

The dad-of-two said: “I collected it from a holding company in Bolton.

“I then rode it home and cleaned it up.

“The only damage was a broken front brake lever and a scuff to the bumper bars.

“I’d like to thank everyone who shared my appeal to get it back.”

A Lancashire Police spokesman said no arrests had been made regarding the incident.
