COUNTY HALL has raised an objection to plans to convert a former council house into a three bedroom property.
Hartley Planning and Development Associates have put in plans to convert a two-storey two bedroom house to a three bedroom property in Old Street, Newchurch.
The house was first constructed as part of the Newchurch redevelopment in the 1960s and is understood to have been presented with a design award.
It is also located in Rossendale Council’s proposed conservation area for Newchurch village.
Lancashire County Council has raised an objection the application on the grounds the applicant has given no clear ‘supporting evidence’ to the amount of off road parking that will be available for homeowners.
