AN appeal has been issued by police after a teenager was seriously injured in Rawtenstall.
The 15-year-old boy suffered a number of injuries after he was in collision with a Vauxhall Vectra at the junction of Newchurch Road and Crankshaw Street on Wednesday, December 7, at around 8.40pm.
He was taken to the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital for treatment to his head, face, ankle and wrist and is still being kept in for observations.

Sgt Claire Pearson, of the road policing unit, said: " This collision has left the 15 year old boy with some serious injuries.
"Thankfully they are not life threatening but it will take some time for him to fully recover. We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed what happened to contact us."
People with any information are asked to call police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting log 1283 of December 7.
