THIEVES smashed the patio door of a house in Rossendale and stole a handbag, Xbox and gift vouchers worth £550.
The burglary in Daneswood Avenue took place between 4.45pm and 12am on Monday.

Police said the thieves climbed over a side gate leading in to the rear garden of the house, smashed the doors with a brick and gone into the house. They then stolen a grey coloured handbag containing two passports, gift vouchers and a white Xbox.
Sergeant Damian Pemberton said: “If you have any information with regards to this or any other offence then please call 101 and quote log number 0013 of the 22nd of December.
