A MAN was stretchered to safety after falling at the Lee Mill Quarry Mountain Bike Trails in Rossendale.
The emergency services were called to the scene at around 5.05pm on Thursday after he fell off his mountain bike.
MaM Volunteers from the Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team joined colleagues from the ambulance service, fire service, and air ambulance service to carry out the rescue.

The man was carried to the helicopter and airlifted to hospital in Manchester, where he underwent treatment.
Assistant team leader Andy Simpson said: “We think the guy mistimed his landing and went over and hurt his leg.
“He was talking and concious when we arrived. He was give some pain relief and patched him up onto the stretcher.”
