POLICE are trying to trace the driver of a car following a collision involving two vehicles in Haslingden.
The incident happened on Haslingden Old Road at around 7.50pm on Saturday when a silver Peugeot 206 driven by a 22-year-old man collided head on with a black Mini which was being driven by a 52-year-old man.
Officers are keen to speak to the driver of a separate black Mercedes car which was witnessed in the area at the time but failed to stop after the accident.
Road policing officer PC Mark Darlington said: “We are trying to determine how this collision came to occur.”
Both cars were severely damaged as a result of the incident, with three people being taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital.
The 22-year-old Peugeot driver suffered a broken ankle, a female passenger was treated for a cut and the driver of the Mini suffered bruising and whiplash.
