THE Raft Foundation, Rossendale’s foodbank, has been working with an animal group to ensure pets are taken care of during times of austerity.
A Raft Foundation spokesman said: “We have been working with the fabulous Rossendale Responsible Pets to support whole families currently experiencing the worst of austerity and working together to ensure pets and their people feel supported.
“Rossendale Responsible Pets members will be doing a third and final van drop of donations this week.
“In light of this tragedy, and the generosity of the members of Rossendale Responsible Pets, we will be working in conjunction with The Raft Foundation.
“We are appealing for anyone that may still wish to donate food to consider this charity for those less fortunate than ourselves.”
Donations can be made to Suite 31, Hardmans Business Centre, in New Hall Hey Road, Rawtenstall, between 10am and noon on Tuesdays, Thursday and Fridays, Asda in Rawtenstall, and Dansworks Dance Academy in the Pioneer Buildings in Bacup town Centre.
