PERMISSION has been given to build four houses on Lees Street in Britannia.
Outline permission for the four detached homes had already been granted by Rossendale Council's Development Control committee earlier this year.
The committee also unanimously approved an application for the design, landscaping and external appearance of the three-bedroom houses.
The council received three letters of objection to the plans, and one resident spoke against them at the committee meeting, saying that the buildings will be out of scale and character with the area.
