A RETIRED cabin-crew member was found dead by his sister after taking drugs and drinking alcohol.
John Haken, 63, was found unresponsive at his home in Abbey Fields, Whalley, on May 21, Blackburn Coroner’s Court was told.

He had left a note saying he wanted to take his own life.
A post mortem was carried out on May 22 but the results have been withheld pending histology and toxicology results, said coroner Michael Singleton who adjourned the inquest until August 6.
