A MAN has appeared in court accused of wounding a woman with intent and assault.
Burnley Magistrates Court heard how Mathew Barnett, 44, of Padiham Road, Sabden, allegedly wounded Carla McIvor with intent to cause her grievous bodily harm.
Magistrates were told the offence is alleged to have taken place in Burnley on May 14, of this year.
Barnett is also alleged to have assaulted Chris Murphy in Burnley on the same day.
No plea was entered to either offence.
The case was sent to Burnley Crown Court where Barnett will appear before a judge on November 27.
Barnett, who also goes by the alias of Matthew Barnett, was given unconditional bail by magistrates.
