IT’S like being on the set of a film — in your own bedroom.

Entire scenes from Harry Potter, Star Trek and The Dark Knight are set to cover walls across East Lancashire.

Ribchester-based start-up company Omega Sky has signed lucrative deals with American movie giants Warner Brothers and CBS Star Trek to create life-sized wallpaper scenes, complete with favourite characters.

The company was set up by three Lancashire businessmen who have previously worked on other projects together, and offers a wide range of high-resolution wallpaper images such as scenes of forests, cities and beaches alongside film scenes. The image can be created to the exact dimensions of any wall and can be made self-adhesive and repositionable so it does not need any wallpaper paste.

Characters from each film scene can also be bought and repositioned.

Andrew Gerraty, 43, runs the business with Tony Fairhurst, 38, from Copster Green and Colin Watson, 51, from Langho.

Mr Gerraty, from Tarleton, said: “We first did a demo for the BBC featuring Dr Who characters and they loved it.

“We then took our concept to America and had loads of interest and have signed deals with Warner Brothers and CBS Star Trek.

“It all means that people can buy complete film scenes from us and customise them in their own way.

“You could even have a life-sized Batman and Superman in your bedroom if you wanted.”

Customers can also submit their own images to be super-sized and the image can be peeled off at any time.

Mr Gerraty said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for us.

“It’s exciting because people can now choose exact what they want on their walls in a way that they have never been able to do before.”
