Motorcyclist injured in Longridge crash

A MOTORCYCLIST was airlifted to hospital after a serious accident.

Police said the man from Yorkshire had been involved in a crash with a van in Lower Road, Longridge, around 3.10pm today.

The man was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

According to police, the man was breathing and conscious as he was assessed by paramedics.

The road was closed for a short time while investigations were carried out.
