MOTORISTS have been asked to drive 'with care' after flooding in Langho.

Longsight Road, near Chapel Lane, has reports of surface water with traffic coping well.

A flood warning has been issued for the River Calder this morning and with 'flooding possible' across the borough.

An Environment Agency spokesman said: "Heavy and persistent rain overnight have caused the river levels to rise.

"Although the rain is expected to clear by late morning some heavy showers forecast for this afternoon may cause the rivers to rise quickly.

"We will be monitoring the situation throughout the day.

"Flooding is possible, be prepared."

A spokesman for traffic data provider INRIX said: "There's been flooding on the A59 at Longsight Road around Chapel Lane.

"Motorists have been asked to approach with care, however traffic is coping well."
