CHILDREN have been getting into the spooky spirit to celebrate Hallowe’en.
Holmes Mill in Clitheroe organised a ‘Spooktacular Show’ to entertain guests at the weekend.
Around 100 people attended the event which was aimed at children aged between three and 10-years-old.
A 20-minute pop up show was held on the day titled ‘The Unicorn Fairies and the Wicked Witch’ to give guests a fright.
A selection of workshops were also held at the venue to give children the chance to create a variety of Hallowe’en crafts.
These included masks, posters and paper plate displays.
Prizes were on hand for the best fancy dress costumes guests attended in.
The winner was dressed as a mummy, while other successful fancy dress costumes included Dracula and a witch.
For those whose fancy dress was not quite complete, face painting was on offer at the event.
A variety of weets were also gifted to children who came along to complete the ‘trick or treat’ spirit.
Heidi Kettle, marketing manager, said: “It was just a bit of Hallowe’en fun.
“It is something for the kids to do in the area, it gave them the chance to get dressed up and try some different activities.
“It went really well, all of the children who came along enjoyed it and it went brilliantly.
“It’s the first time we’ve done a children’s show like this to mark the occasion.
“We’ll take stock at how it all went and then I think we’ll look to host something again next year.”
