EARLY promotion of the year groups at Ribblesdale High School in Clitheroe is due to take place immediately after the half term break.
A spokesman for the school said that it was ‘extremely successful’ last year and is a particular benefit for those moving from Year Nine to Year 10 in giving them additional time on their GCSE courses.
Each pupil will be issued with a new timetable to come into effect from June 1.
For the current Year Seven and eight pupils, they will have new teachers and a new timetable.
A spokesman said: “Our experience last year was the early promotion reinvigorated the quality of learning in the last half term of the school year.
“With the exception of a few teaching staff who are leaving, everything on a pupil’s timetable in the summer term will remain the same for when they return in September.
“This also allows pupils to ‘hit the ground running’ on their return.”
