REVISED plans for a Booths supermarket in Barrowford have been submitted to Pendle Council.
The upmarket food retailer first unveiled plans to open in Halstead Lane in 2006, with approval coming in 2008 despite objections from residents and independent shopkeepers.
But work has now stopped on the development as bosses at the supermarket chain seek permission to accommodate changes to the means of delivery to the store.
That means the store now won’t open until the end of 2014 at the earliest.
A Booths spokesman said: “Booths propose for the deliveries to be serviced via the White Bear car park instead of via Halstead Lane as in the consented scheme.”
