FIREFIGHTERS have been called out to the recycling centre in Barnoldswick after two skips caught fire producing plumes of billowing smoke.
Appliances were sent from Colne and Earby fire stations to the Lancashire County Council site in West Close Road just before 6pm today.
Watch manager Richard Taylor said: "Two skips have caught fire producing a lot of smoke.
"Two fire engines with jets and breathing apparatus were sent from Colne and Earby stations shortly before 6pm."
The fire took around an hour to put out. There were no injuries
