A COUNCIL's environmental crime team has once again starred in the latest daytime series of Dom On The Spot created by Twofour.

People’s champion Dom Littlewood fronts the programme which follows law enforcers across the country as they dole out fines for offences, such as fly-tipping and dropping litter and cigarette butts.

Pendle Council's environmental crime team will star in the series every week day at 11am for the next week.

Since late May, David Alexander, Jonathan Yurek, Lesley Brooks, Matty Hargreaves and Jeff Brown have been followed by a camera crew as they carried out their daily patrols.

The Team tackled fly-tipping, dropped litter and cigarette butts and dumped car parts amongst other things.

David Alexander, Senior Environmental Crime Officer, said: “It was fantastic to be involved in the series again.

“It’s such a great opportunity to showcase the work we do on behalf of residents to ensure the borough is an attractive and clean place to live!”

Cllr Mohammed Iqbal, leader of Pendle Council, added: “The team does a fantastic job tackling many of the issues which affect our residents’ lives and this goes some way to showing some of the work they do.

“In Pendle we take environmental crime extremely seriously.

“Please report any incidents to us on our website – www.pendle.gov.uk/envirocrime or by calling (01282) 661743.”
