NEW members of the Pendle Community Safety Partnership are being sought after.
Those living in the borough have been asked to step forward to volunteer with the group, which meets four times a year to respond to emerging problems, including crimes.
Pendle councillor David Whipp, chairman of the Community Safety Partnership, said: “If you’re passionate about your area we need to hear from you.
“We’re looking for committed and motivated individuals to help us to deliver our priorities.
“We need people who are interested and informed about their area and who are prepared to make a positive contribution to community safety.
“In particular, we want to improve representation from a cross-section of the community to ensure that we meet the needs of all our residents.”
Those who wish to take part are expcted to attend four meetings, attend community safety events, provide feedback to the communities they represent.
Interested parties should email geoff.whitehead@pendle.gov.uk with a brief summary explaining why they want to be a member by noon on Monday, August 21.
