A COUNCILLOR has called on Pendle’s MP to redouble his efforts to get a postbox outside the town’s main post office.
Coun Eileen Ansar, who runs her own town centre business, spoke out after Andrew Stephenson had welcomed a number of extra services being introduced at the Place de Creil branch.
Around 18 months ago a 500-signature petition was presented to the MP by staff at the post office, appealing for a postbox to be located there.
Coun Ansar said: “We were supposed to be getting a postbox there but nothing has happened since then.”
