STRONG winds are forecast for East Lancashire today with gusts reaching up to 28mph.

The Met Office has issued a yellow alert, which warns people to be aware.

GUSTS of 26mph ?? !! Not 80 mph , as predicted for the Northern Isles? 26 mph won't be blowing a feather around. 26 mph is the average wind speed. Did ANYONE at LT get any sort of education? If they did . . . well, blow me down !

You do the LT a disservice, burner. They say 28mph. The additional 2 mph could make all the difference when it comes to matters pertaining to the blowing around of feathers.
