New recycling calendar for Pendle

First published in Pendle

PENDLE Council is delivering the annual refuse and recycling calendar to all homes in the borough from this week.

Coun John David, who represents waste management in Pendle, said: “The annual refuse and recycling calendar is a very handy reference guide – and we know this because you told us that’s what you think of it.

“We recently carried out focus group meetings with residents who were happy to meet us and give us their views on our waste management service.

“Amongst other things, they told us that they’d like us to keep issuing the calendar every year as they find it useful and keep it to refer to over the year.

“They asked us to include more information about the different things you can recycle, and tell you how to get hold of red sacks for textiles.

“We’ve listened to their comments and made some changes to this year’s leaflet.”

The calendars are delivered to all 39,000 households in Pendle.

If you haven’t received a calendar by December 1, call 01282 661743.
