Snooker side into big final
THE Poplar Club’s snooker team, based at the club in Wellington Street, Accrington, is into the final of the All England Snooker competition.
They will take on the Merthyr Tydfil Labour Club at Weoley Castle Working Men’s Club, in Selly Oak, Birmingham, from 1pm on Saturday, June 20.
A coach will leave for Birmingham from 10am.
Anybody who wants to book a seat should contact the club on 01254 231280 during opening hours. A deposit of £10 must be paid.
