Town set for VE Day events
BRITISH Legion members in Great Harwood have organised a service and parade on Sunday, May 10, to mark the 70th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day.
There will be a service at Great Harwood Cenotaph at 11.30am, followed at noon by a parade down Church Lane, Church Street and Queen Street to The Plough, where a charity fundraising event will be held.
The anniversary of VE Day falls on Friday, May 8.
