EAST Lancashire’s hospitals have managed to reduce their number of ‘backlogged’ surgery patients to 441, which is within the requirements set by NHS officials.
Hospitals were ordered to prioritise patients. The Royal Blackburn and Burnley General hospitals were to reduce their backlog to below 475.
