FIRE crews had to break into a Blackburn house after the occupants fell asleep while cooking after a night out.
A smoke alarm was heard going off at the house in Tynwald Road just before 6am yesterday. Crew manager Chris West said: “Attempts were made to rouse the occupants but crews had to enter the property forcibly. This incident highlights the value of having working smoke alarms.”
