RIBBLE Valley Borough Council has voted to become a White Ribbon Council.
Councillors voted to support the campaign which is being championed by Lancashire County Council.
It provides an opportunity to take a preventative approach to domestic abuse by encouraging men to promote a change of attitude towards violence against women.
There are plans to take the campaign into male-dominated organisations such as rugby, football and the prison service.
