BURNLEY Council successfully prosecuted 107 individuals for fly-tipping and similar waste-related crimes in 2013/2014, new government statistics show. This ranked it top of the seven East Lancashire boroughs for taking action on dumping rubbish in the official tables. Burnley Council environment boss Tony Harrison said :“Tackling this kind of behaviour will carry on being a top priority for us”.
