Edna’s award
A CHARITY volunteer received the Oswaldtwistle Ruby Award at a full meeting of Hyndburn Council.
Edna Crabtree, chair of Church and Oswaldtwistle Royal British Legion, was recognised for her long-standing work as a Poppy Appeal and concert organiser.
Further awards will be presented to a resident from each of the seven former council areas which now make up Hyndburn, to celebrate the borough’s 40th birthday.
