BOARD members at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust haeld an executive “away day” in Darwen.
The trust spent £100 to hire a room at the ELFS Shared Services office, off Mary Leaver Way,.
They discussed committee structure, directors’ portfolios and future ways of working.
The trust has numerous meeting rooms at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, but a spokesman said board members were less likely to be distracted by their day-to-day roles by holding it elsewherevent off-site.
ELFS is owned by Calderstones Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, so the money has been retained within the NHS, he added. According to board papers the event was held on November 7.
