New store to open a cafe
A RETAILER due to open in Burnley later this month has applied to open an ancillary cafe.
DIY firm The Range is due to open at the former Homebase site in Ashfield Retail Centre, Calder Vale Road, on January 30.
Bosses at parent company CDS (Superstores International) Ltd have asked Burnley Council if they can use part of the unit to serve hot food and drinks.
The cafe would be operated directly by The Range, with no franchise involved, a planning application said.
