False alarm
FIREFIGHTERS were called to the Blackburn Rovers Sports Arena, in Blackburn Road, Darwen, at 3.38am yesterday after an automatic fire alarm went off.
A spokesman for Darwen Fire Station said crews found the alarm was triggered by steam coming from a boiler at the site, situated next to Darwen Vale High School.
