CHILDREN at a primary school in Blackburn have been learning Japanese as part of a national project.
The pupils at St Thomas’ CofE Primary School, in Newton Street, have entered into a national robotics and Lego competition, which will take place in Cheshire in December.
As part of the contest, the children have also been designing apps for iPads and ebooks to teach people how to draw better, with a particular focus on manga-style comic characters.
This involved interviewing experts and learning Japanese.
The children are dressing as manga characters for their presentation and have written a song about drawing.
