Drama tells story of Nazis victim
THERE will be a performance of ‘Through The Leaves of The Green Tree’ by Donna Worthington at The Civic Arts Centre in Oswaldtwistle on Thursday September 25.
Starting at 7.30pm, it tells the story of Etty Hillesum, a Jewish woman, who was to become an inspirational voice through her diaries of life in Nazi-occupied Holland and her subsequent deportation to Auschwitz, where she died in 1943.
