MORE than £5,800 will be spent this year providing a fresher outlook to shop premises in Earby, councillors have been told.
Inspired Flooring has been allocated £3,000, which will be used to remodel the interior of premises in Colne Road, Earby, to create a larger sales area.
And the nearby Village Store has also been given £2,037, to install a new shop front.
Two other projects have already been completed from this year’s premises improvement grant programme, according to a report to the West Craven area committee.
Morgan’s Cafe, in Victoria Road, has used £571 to repaint and repair a wooden shopfront, and Earby-based Xtansmission has spent £223 on new signage.
