COLNE Town Council’s GreenRock 2014 on Saturday promises a magical first two hours between noon and 2pm as it has secured Peter Dean Magic to entertain the crowd. Events committee’s chair Coun Dorothy Lord, said: “We would like to see families come to us early and have designed the beginning of GreenRock with this in mind. Our events licence has a strict limit on numbers and, once we reach it, it will be one out and one in, so we are urging people to come to the Millennium Green early.”
Relic, who wowed audiences at Colne Rhythm and Blues Festival, have been announced as the first band of the festival. GreenRock, Colne’s only free music festival, is this Saturday on the green off Shaw Street.
Coun Sarah Cockburn-Price said: “The Millennium Green might be tucked away but its topography means it acts like a natural amphitheatre for our performers and GreenRockers.”
