POLICE have appealed for the owner of a car found in Accrington to come forward.
The silver Mazda 6 was taken from Perth Street after it was found to be uninsured.
There were ‘other suspicious circumstances’ a police spokeswoman said.
The car was loaded onto a recovery truck and removed from the street at around 9.30pm on Thursday.
Officers had earlier met councillor Pam Barton in the street, as well as residents, for a Police and Communities Together meeting. “We would like to speak to the owner about the circumstances in which we found it,” a local officer said.
Call police on 101 quoting log number 1445/140814.
