WORK to tell the family stories of south Asian families in Rossendale has received a £70,000 boost from the National Lottery.
The Horse and Bamboo Theatre in Waterfoot has been co-ordinating the Different Moons project since the start of the year and officials have welcomed the grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
An exhibition at the Whitaker Museum and Gallery will form the first phase of the scheme led by Shamshad Khan with project artist Habiba Shenza.
Next year it is envisaged an archive will be created, recounting stories of families who migrated to the Valley.
