EAST Lancashire Chamber of Commerce is holding a day-long seminar on ‘Overseas Market Entry Methods and Agreements’ for local firms on Tuesday, September 9, 9.30am to 4.30pm.
It is designed to provide a rational approach for researching and choosing the most suitable exporting partner.
Topics will include ‘what are agents and distributors?’, researching the market, the election and appointment process, promotional requirements, how to produce market cost analysis, monitoring and motivating agents and distributors, gentlemen’s and formal agreements.
The trainers are Mandy Lockett, the chamber’s international trade and training director, and business law partners at Forbes Solicitors Dan Milnes and John Pickervance.
The seminar will be held at the chamber’ headquarters in Red Rose Court, Clayton Business Park, Accrington, BB5 5JR. It is free to Lancashire LEAP businesses running for under three years.
