A VAN driver escaped unharmed after he drove straight over a roundabout near Hapton yesterday.
Fire, police, and ambulance crews were called to Accrington Road at 9.35am after the incident, which left glass strewn across the road.
The county council highways department was called to clear up debris.
A police spokeswoman said: “A white van drove right over a roundabout. There were no injuries, and the driver was checked over by paramedics.”
A fire service spokesman added: “We were called to make the scene safe.”
