Big park walk for children
FAMILIES are invited to join Pendleside Hospice’s new family-friendly ‘Little Hospice Heroes’ on Sunday.
Hundreds of children are expected to walk a three-mile route around Towneley Park, Burnley.
The walk, which aims to encourage community spirit and promote healthy exercise for children, is for youngsters up to 12 years old. They must be accompanied by an adult.
Upon completion of the walk, each child will be rewarded with a well earned medal, certificate and goody bag. Leah Mitchell, fundraiser for Pendleside Hospice, said: “We are extremely excited to launch our new children’s event this summer and we hope to get plenty of the local community on board.”
