Tidy work at cemetery
THE Friends of Darwen Cemetery have begun tidying Section D1 and hope to start work on repairing headstones shortly.
The group would like to identify people who still tend a grave there and have urged those who do to get in touch.
Headstones were repaired on Section C in 2011 and on Section B in 2012 using funds raised by the Friends of Darwen Cemetery. Funds are now available to work on Section D1. The different sections can be identified on the signs erected in the cemetery.
