War outbreak remembered
TWO Gates Bowling and Social Club in Anyon Street, Darwen, will host a First World War commemoration tomorrow from 8pm when Leanne James will sing a host of old-time classics.
Tickets are £4 and proceeds will go to the Royal British Legion. Supper is included.
Ahead of the event, from 6.45pm, will be the final of the Darwen Subs Trophy, with Whitehall A taking on Witton A.
