CONCERNS have been raised that Rossendale residents will not be given enough opportunity to have their say on possible changes to the Valley’s health centres.
Treatment room services are being reviewed by the Rossendale Locality Commissioners for the NHS East Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and residents have until Monday to fill in an online questionnaire.
Coun Granville Morris, of Greenfield ward, said he questioned why only a two-week online consultation is being held.
He said: “I am bewildered, frustrated and annoyed that they do not ask people to complete a simple questionnaire after their treatment at the health centre.”
A spokesman for the CCG said: “The two-week period is to gain some quick feedback and if successful will be replicated in other localities.
“Other means of gaining feedback are being considered and it is recognised that not all members of the public have access to an online survey.”
