LANCASHIRE County Council is drawing up a new policy on the provision and allocation of residential disabled parking bays.
Its highways and transport boss John Fillis is expected to consider the new proposals over the next six weeks.
He will then make an executive decision on the scheme on September 15.
The new policy will cover residential streets in 12 Lancashire boroughs including Burnley, Ribble Valley, Hyndburn, Pendle. Rossendale and Chorley.
Before the new policy document for the provision of residential disabled parking bays is approved it will be published on the county council website and put out to relevant groups for consultation.
It will need to balance the needs of disabled drivers and passengers and other road users.
