A WARMTH scheme available to vulnerable people across England and Wales, including residents in East Lancashire, has revealed it has already received hundreds of referrals this summer from people in need of heating help.
Following one of the hottest Junes on record, npower Health Through Warmth, a scheme that works with charities and other organisations to assist vulnerable homeowners with heating and insulation, has taken more than 230 referrals from across England and Wales.
The scheme is available to homeowners who have a long-term illness, a low income with little or no savings and who are unable to fully fund measures, such as a new boiler or heating system.
