Lindisfarne’s Darwen date
IT took the monks of Lindisfarne seven years to carry the body of St Cuthbert from North Northumberland to Durham.
It will take Billy Mitchell and Ray Laidlaw of Lindisfarne 10 weeks to cover the same ground but with a lot more stop-overs.
There will be 48 nationwide UK concerts between their opening night at Berwick Maltings on September 4 and their final show on November 15 at the Gala Theatre, Durham. They will perform at Darwen Library Theatre in Knott Street during their 10-week tour on Wednesday, October 22.
The show is a celebration of the group’s music.
