DRAGONS’ Den’s Piers Linney, who grew up in Bacup, has pledged £100,000 to the programme’s highest ever valued fledgling business.
Linney offered the cash to Lost My Name, a book about a child who lost their name.
The deal was in exchange for a four per cent share of the company.
The firm, owned by three dads and an uncle, is valued at £2.5million.
Linney, a former pupil at Fearns, is joint chief executive of Outsourcery.
It is a world leading cloud service provider. He qualified as a solicitor specialising in private equity and also worked as an investment banker and venture capital fund manager.
