Drug user to train for run
Jason Thomas, 23, of Leamington Avenue, Burnley, admitted possessing cannabis at Nelson, last August 16.
The defendant, who was caught smoking a joint by police, had used the drug for nine years, but had since cut down, had started a fitness campaign and planned to run marathons for charity, the town's magistrates were told.
He was fined £70, with £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
