AN investigation into the paranormal is to take place at a former civic seat in Bacup - thanks to a team of paranormal experts.
The Haunted Rossendale probe for Stubbylee Hall, home to the former Bacup Borough Council, will be on August 15 from 10pm.
The grade II listed building was erected on the site of a house which dated back to the early 17th century, belonging to the Holden family before being sold a number of times and ending up in the hands of woollens magnate James Holt.
Today’s mansion dates back to 1808 and was later home to James Maden Holt, who served 12 years as an MP and lived at Stubbylee until his death in 1911.
